On August 29, 2018, the second working meeting for the preparation of the Digital Technique Application of Building and Residence Community - Smart Door Lock Security (Guideline) was held in Shenzhen by the National Technical Committee 426 on Digital Technique of Intelligent Building and Residence Community of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 426). CEC Huada Electronic Design Co., Ltd. (“HED”), which was invited to attend the meeting, became a core unit participating in the preparation of the Smart Door Lock Security (Guideline) and participated in the joint discussion about topics including the development and improvement of security technologies for smart door locks, leading the standardized practices of the door lock industry, and improving the security and convenience of door locks.
In recent years, HED released many “Cloud-Pipe-Device” security solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) based on security technologies, including solutions for smart door lock, smart appliance, smart centralized metering, bicycle sharing, and smart and secure Internet of Vehicles (IoV). With respect to security risks in the application of smart door locks, HED’s security chips are designed to improve the security of door locks for safeguarding the development of smart door locks from aspects of two-way authentication between the smart door lock and the cloud, concealed data storage and protection, secure and encrypted data transmission, etc.
As a global top-four security chip vendor for smart cards and a well-known vendor of smart cards, security chips, and application solutions thereof in China, HED has built up experience and technologies in the area of conventional smart cards for over ten years, and its products have been widely used in financial payment, government public utilities, identification, telecommunications, mobile payment, etc. As a core unit participating in the preparation of the Smart Door Lock Security (Guideline) working with systems integrators, door lock enterprises, and Internet-based enterprises, HED will be dedicated to the industry of smart door locks to implement the concept of “security chip” in more IoT industries and applications.
